I started working with Andy in 2016, three years before my final GCSE exams, receiving tuition in maths, chemistry and physics - all of which I struggled with initially. On results day, I was awarded a grade 9 (A*) for all these subjects.
Whilst some might think I was at an advantage with a long preparation period, I can guarantee that having Andy as a tutor for any amount of time, be it three years or three months, will leave any student feeling more confident - and certainly more capable - in their subject.
Andy’s teaching was precise, thorough and suitably tailored to my needs. The weaknesses I had in a certain topic were swiftly identified and followed up with a sufficient amount of work and exam-style questions, so that I could improve quickly and assertively. Over time, my skills in these subjects became increasingly proficient; so much so that I’ve gone on to study maths for my A-Levels, originally a two-year course, which my school merged into one. This too has been made manageable with the help of Andy, who has accommodated me abundantly with his tutoring in my accelerated-pace studies.
Having also had in-person tutoring before, I assure you that online lessons in no way detract from the experience of learning and teaching. It presents unique advantages, like being able to have a lesson wherever you are in the world, suited to your schedule. Andy’s use of an online classroom and whiteboard is extremely efficient, further allowing you to upload any questions and papers from the unlimited source that is the internet, or equally any work of your own.
